Then I wash and continue reciting Quran." The Imam (Pbuh) said: "Do not, until you do the Wodou' of Prayer (Islamic Ablution)."

Al-Sayyid Ibn Tawous states in Iqbal Al-A'amal Book: Ali bin Maimoun Al-Sani' Abi Al-Akrad said that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) used to say when he grabs Quran with his right before opening it and reciting it:

"In the name of Allah, O Allah I admit that this is Your book that descended from you to Your Messenger Mohammad Bin Abdellah (Pbuhp), Your book that speaks through the voice of Your Messenger; Your statements are in it and the laws of Your religion. You bestowed it upon Your Prophet and made it the covenant that You took from Your creatures and the stretched rope between You and Your servants. O Allah, I opened Your book and covenant. O Allah, allow my sight to it to be worship, my reading to be contemplation and my thoughts to be lessons.

O Allah, allow me to learns from Your lessons that are in it and to avoid disobeying You. Don’t seal my hearing and heart when reciting Your book, don’t put a veil on my sight, don’t allow my reciting to be with no understanding yet allow me to understand and learn lessons from its verses and statements and to follow the laws of your religion. Don’t allow me to recite and look in negligence. You are the Most Graceful Most Merciful."

Al-Moufeed also stated it in Al-Ikhtisas Book.
