Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:" The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:' Rajab is the month of forgiveness for my nation, so greatly ask for forgiveness during
this month, for He is the Most Forgiving and Merciful. It is named Rajab the Abundant because mercy is spread abundantly upon my nation in it. Thus, greatly say: I ask Allah to grant me
forgiveness and repentance.'"
It was reported that the prophet (pbuh) said:" Rajab is Allah's great month, which is incomparable to any other month, regarding virtue and sanctity.
In this month, war against infidels is forbidden. Indeed, Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my nation. Verily! Whoever fasts a day of Rajab, gains
Allah's greatest consent, becomes far away from Allah's wrath and a door of Hell will be closed for him."
Imam Mousa Bin Jaafar (pbuh) said:" Rajab is a river in heaven that is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever fasts a day of Rajab, Allah Almighty will allow him to drink from
that river."
It was reported that the prophet (pbuh) said:" Rajab is Allah's great month, which is incomparable to any other month, regarding virtue and sanctity. In this month, war against infidels is
forbidden. Indeed, Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my nation. Verily! Whoever fasts a day of Rajab, gains Allah's greatest consent, becomes far away
from Allah's wrath and a door of Hell will be closed for him."
Imam Moussa Bin Jaafar (pbuh) said: "Rajab is a great month. In it, Allah greatly increases the good deeds and erases the bad deeds. Hell shall be distant from he who fasts one of the days
of Rajab a distance equal to a one-year journey and he who fasts three days shall enter Heaven indeed."
Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) reported that the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp) said: "Allah shall record for he who fasts three days of Rajab for each day a year
of fasting. Seven doors of Hell shall be closed in the face of he who fasts seven days of Rajab and the eight doors of Heaven shall be opened for he who fasts eight days of Rajab. He who fasts
fifteen days of Rajab shall be judged an easy judgment by Allah. Moreover, Allah shall indeed grant he who fasts all the days of Rajab His Contentment and he who gains His Contentment shall never
be tormented."
The Holy Prophet (pbuhp) said: "He who fasts five days in Rajab shall rightfully deserve to attain the Contentment of Allah, the Most High, on the Day of
Resurrection. Allah shall resurrect him on that day having a face as bright as a full moon. He shall gain good deeds as much as the number of sand,
enter Heaven without judgment and will be told: "Wish whatever you want from your Lord.""
Ibin Babway reported from Salem that he said:" I entered on Al-Sadiq (pbuh) on the last days of Rajab and when he looked at me, he said:' O Salem, Have you fasted this month?' I said:" By
Allah, I haven't, O son of the Messenger of Allah.' So he said:' You have missed rewards that have values that are only known by Allah. Allah has made this month greater than any other month,
greaten its sanctity and promised dignity for the fasters on this month.' I said:' O son of the Messenger of Allah, if I fast the days that are left of it, will I gain some of the rewards of the
fasters on it?' He said:' O Salem, whoever fasts one of the last days of this month, will be protected from the severity of the struggle before death, the terribleness of resurrection and the
torment in the grave. Whoever fasts two days of the end of this month, will safely pass Al-Sirat. Whoever fasts three days of the end of this month, will be granted protection against the
horridness and hardships of the Day of Great Fear and will be granted innocence from entering Hell."
Imam Ali Al-Rida (pbuh) said: " He who fasts on the thirty day of Rajab, Allah shall forgive all his previous sins and those that will come
The Holy Prophet (pbuhp) said: "Allah, the Most High, assigned an angel in the Forth Sky called: The Caller. When the month of Rajab comes, that angel calls in its every night until the
morning, saying: "Touba (Tree in Heaven) is for those who praise. Touba is for those who obey," and Allah, the Most High, says: "I am the company of who seeks My Company. I obey the requests of
who obey Me. I forgive who asks for My forgiveness. This month is My month. This servant is My servant. This mercy is My mercy. Thus, I shall answer whoever pleads Me in this month, give whoever
asked Me and offer gifts to whomever requested. I made this month as a rope between Me and My servants and so whoever grasps onto it shall reach Me."
