* Abdellah Bin Abi Yaafour said:" I heard Abu Abdellah (Al-Sadiq) (pbuh) say to one of his followers:" O you, do you visit the grave of Abu Abdellah Al-Hussein Bin Ali (pbut)?" He said:" Yes, I visit him once every three years." So He (pbuh) said as his face turned yellow:" By Allah Who there is no god but Him! If you visited him, it would have been better for you than what you have now." He said to him:" May I be sacrificed for you! Does it have all this virtue!?" He said:" Yes. By Allah! If I speak to you of the virtue of visiting him and the virtue of his grave, you would immediately leave the act of pilgrimage and none of you would have performed pilgrimage. Woe to you! Don't you know that Allah has taken Karbala as a secure and blessed sanctuary before he took Mekka as a sanctuary?" Bin Abi Yaafour said:" Allah has obliged people to do pilgrimage in the House (Kaaba) but He didn't mention visiting the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh)." Thus, He (pbuh) said:" Even though it is like that, this is a matter that Allah has made so. Haven't you heard the saying of my father Ameer Al-Mo'mineen (pbuh) that states:" The back of the foot has the right to be wiped more than the front of the foot; however, Allah obliged the servants to do this"? Don't you know that if the Mowqef (on Arafa Day) was in the shrine, it would have been greater because of the shrine yet Allah has made it be in somewhere other than the shrine?" (1)
* Dawoud Bin Farqad said:" I said to Abo Abdellah (Al-Sadiq)
(pbuh):" What rewards will the one who visits Al-Hussein (pbuh) every month obtain?" He said:" He will obtain as the rewards of one hundered thousand martyrs of Bader.""(2)
* Imam Ali Bin Mousa Al-Rida (pbuh) said:" He who visited the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh) at the bank of Al-Forat will be as if he visited Allah above His Throne."(3)
* Imam Al-Rida (pbuh) said:" He who visits Al-Hussein Bin Ali (pbut), knowing his right, shall be one of those who speak to Allah above His Throne," and then he recited this:{The pious ones are in heavens and a river in a rank of honesty with a capable king.}"
* Abu Abdellah (pbuh) said:" If Allah wills to bestow good upon someone, He will throw the love of Al-Hussein (pbuh) and the love of visiting him in his heart and if Allah wills to maltreat someone, He will throw the hatred of Al-hussein and the hatred of visiting him in his heart."
* Abu Abdellah (pbuh) says:" Every prophet in the skies asks Allah, the Most High, to allow him to visit Al-Hussein (pbuh); therefore, a group (of prophets) descends and a group ascends.
* Abu Abdellah (PBUH) said:" Whoever didn't visit the grave of Al-Hussein (PBUH), claiming that he is one of our Shia (followers) until he died is not one of our Shia, and if he is of the people of Heaven, then he is an inquisitive guest of Heaven."
* Imam Al-Hussein (pbuh) said:" I am the slain one of tears; I was killed suffering an adversity. Indeed whenever a grieved person comes to me, Allah will never allow him to leave to his family unless he is happy."
* Abo Abdellah Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:" Visit Al-Hussein (pbuh) and never abandon him for he is the Master of the Youth in Heaven from humankind and he is the Master of Martyrs (Witnesses).
* sion towards us; have mercy on those hearts that are despondent and inflamed from their grief over us and have mercy on those who painfully scream for us. O Allah! I entrust those spirits and bodies to You until You water them from the spring (Al-Hawd) at the day of thirst.”(4)
* Imam Al-Sadiq (pbuh) said:" Fatima Bint Mohammad (pbuh) attends with the visitors of the grave of her son Al-Hussein (pbuh) and asks forgiveness for their sins on behalf of them."
* Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:" Allah, the Most High, manifests himself to the vivitors of the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh) before the people of Arafat. He will grant them their needs, forgive their sins and give them all they ask. Then, next He will manifest to the people of Arafat and do this to them."
* Mas'ada Bin Sadaqa reported:"I asked Imam Al-Sadeq (pbuh):" What rewards will the one who visits the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh) have?"He (pbuh) said:"A pilgrimage along with the prophet (PBUHP) will be written for him." I said:"may I be sacrificed to you, A pilgrimage along with the prophet (PBUHP)!?" Imam (pbuh) said:"yes and two pilgrimages." I said:"may I be sacrificed to you, two pilgrimages!?" He (pbuh) said:"yes and three." and He (pbuh) still counting until He counted Ten, I said:"may I be sacrificed to you, ten pilgrimages with the holy Prophet (PBUHP)?" He (pbuh) said:"yes and twenty." I said:"may I be sacrificed to you, Twenty!!" so He (pbuh) still counting until he counted Fifty pilgrimages, and he stopped."" (5)
* Abu Abdellah, Jaafar Bin Mohammad (pbuh) said:" Al-Hussein Bin Ali (pbuh) is with his Lord Almighty looking at the place of his camp, at the martyrs that were killed with him and at his visitors and he is more knowledgeable about their conditions, names, their fathers' names and their ranks and levels to Allah Almighty than how much a father knows about his son. He indeed sees those who weep over him so he asks forgiveness for them and asks his forefathers (pbut) to ask forgiveness for him and he says:" If my visitor knows what Allah has prepared for him, his happiness will be more than his despondency." His visitor also leaves having no more sins."
* Moawiya Bin Wahab said:" I entered on Abu Abdellah (Al-Sadiq) (pbuh) while he was praying so I sat down until he finished and I heard him plead his Lord and say:" O who has exclusively made dignity for us, promised us to have intercession, let us carry the Message, made us the inheritors of the prophets, sealed the previous nations by us, exclusively gave us custodianship, gave us the knowledge of what has occurred and the knowledge of what has yet to come and made the hearts of some people yearn for us! Forgive me, my brothers and the visitors of the grave of Abu Abdellah Al-Hussein Bin Ali (pbuh), those who have spent their money and dedicated their bodies due to their desire of being loyal to us and wanting what You have by visiting us, filling Your Prophet Mohammad (pbuhp) with joy, obeying our order and filling our enemy with frustration. They did that wanting your contentment so reward them by being content with them, safeguard them at night and during the day, protect their families and children that they left behind very well, accompany them and shield them from every persevering tyrant, every weak and cruel one of Your creations and from the evilness of the devils of humankind and Jinn and also give them the best things that they hoped to take from You during their remoteness from their homes and the things they preferred over their sons, bodies, families and relatives. O Allah, our enemies have said that this act of theirs is a disgrace, yet this didn't prevent them from rising and heading to us and opposing them. Hence, have mercy on those faces that changed due to the sun; have mercy on those cheeks that rolled on the grave of Abu Abdellah Al-Hussein (pbuh); have mercy on those eyes that wept over us due to their compassion towards us; have mercy on those hearts that are despondent and inflamed from their grief over us and have mercy on those who painfully scream for us. O Allah! I entrust those spirits and bodies to You until You water them from the spring (Al-Hawd) at the day of thirst," and he (pbuh) continued to supplicate with this Duaa as he was prostrating himself so I said to him:" May I be sacrificed for you; if these words that I heard from you were for those who don't know Allah, I would have thought that Hell would never touch him!! I swear to Allah that I wish I hadn't went to pilgrimage and visited him instead." So, he said to me:" How close you are from him! What is preventing you from visiting him that didn't prevent you from performing pilgrimage, O Moawiya?" I said:" May I be sacrificed for you; I didn't know that this matter is great to this extent." So, he said:" O Moawiya, those who supplicate for his visitors in the sky are more than those who supplicate for them on earth. Don't avoid visiting him because of your fear from anyone. For, he who avoids visiting him because of fear will see regret that will make him wish that he dug his own grave. Don't you love to have Allah see that you and your black clothes are who the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp) pleads for? Don't you love to be one of those who will shake with the angels? Don't you love to be one of those who will see that they have no sins? Don't you love to be one of those who shake hands with the Messenger of Allah (pbuhp)?""
* Abu Jaafar (pbuh) said:" He who wants to know if he is one of the people of Heaven shall offer our love to his heart, so if it accepts it then he is a believer and he who is our lover shall have the desire to visit the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh). Thus, whoever was a visitor of Al-Hussein (pbuh) is known by his love for us Ahlulbayt and will be one of the people of Heaven and whoever wasn't a visitor of Al-Hussein (pbuh) has incomplete faith."
* Safwan Aljamal said:" Abu Abdellah (pbuh) said to me when he came to Al-Heera:" Do you go to the grave Al-Hussein (pbuh)?" I said:" Do you visit him? May my soul be sacrificed for you!" He said:" How could I not and Allah visits him every Thursday night, He descends to him with the angels, prophets , custodians, Mohammad, the greatest prophet, and us, the greatest custodians." I said:" May my soul be sacrificed for you! Shall we visit him every Friday in order to attend the visit of the Lord?" He said:" Yes, O Safwan, commit to that and it will be written that you visited the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh); this is a virtue and that is a virtue."
* Abu Abdellah (pbuh) said:" If one of you performed pilgrimage all his life and didn't visit Al-Hussein Bin Ali (pbuh) will be abandoning one of the rights of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), because the right of Al-Hussein (pbuh) is an obligation set by Allah for every Muslim."
* Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:" He who did not visit the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh) until his death will have incomplete religion and incomplete faith and if he enters Heaven, he will be beneath the believers in Heaven."
* Haroun Bin Kharaja said:" I asked Imam Sadiq (pbuh) about who doesn't do the Ziara, visiting the grave of Al-Hussein Bin Ali, without having sickness. He said:" This man is one of the people of Hell.""
* Abdollah Bin Meskan said;"I saw Abo Abdellah Al-Sadeq (pbuh) when people from Khurasan came to him and asked him about visiting Al-Hussein's (pbuh) grave and it's rewards and blessings, He (pbuh) said:"My father reported from my grandfather that he said: "He who visits Al-Hussein (pbuh) only seeking the Face of Allah by him, Allah will forgive all his sins and he will be as if he was newly born and the angels will accompany him in his journey and will fly over his head spreading their wings over him until he returns to his family. The angels will also ask forgiveness for him from his Lord, mercy will surround him from the highest ranks of the sky and the angels will call:" You are blessed and so is the one who you visited," and he will be protected with his family.""
* Reported from Imam Abou Abdellah (pbuh) that he said: “when the day of resurrection comes, a caller calls: “where are the visitors of Hussein Bin Ali?” then a huge number of people rise that no one can count them but Allah. Allah asks them: “what were you seeking from visiting the grave of Hussein (pbuh)?” they say: “we visited him because of our love to the Messenger of Allah, our love to Ali and Fatima, and because of what happened to him.” then they are told: “this is Mohammad, Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Hussein. Go after them for that you are with them at their rank. Follow the banner of the Messenger of Allah.” So they follow the banner of the Messenger of Allah and they will be shaded as the banner is in the hand of Ali (pbuh) till they enter heaven together. They will be in front of the banner, behind it and on its right and left.
* Reported from Imam Abou Abdellah (pbuh) that he said: “Allah made the grave of Hussein (pbuh) a responsibility of 70,000 angels who are ragged and dust is all over them. They cry him till the day of resurrection, they pray in his shrine. A prayer of one of them is equivalent to a thousand prayers of a human. The reward of their prayers are for the visitors of his grave.
* Imam Abou Abdellah (pbuh) said: “O Soudayr, do you visit the grave of Hussein (pbuh) everyday?” He said: “may I be sacrificed to you, No” Imam said: “how apathetic are you?” Imam said: “do you visit him every week?” he said: “No.” Imam said: “do you visit him every month?” he said: “NO.” Imam said: “then, do you visit him every year?” he said: “yes, I may.” Imam said: “O Soudayr, how apathetic are you towards Hussein(pbuh) don’t you know that there are 2000 thousands of angels, ragged and dusty crying over him and visiting him. all you have to do is to visit his grave 5 times a week and once every day?” He said: “may I be sacrificed to you. There are vast distances between us and him.” Imam said: “go to your roof, then look right and left and then look up to the sky, then look towards his grave and say: “peace be upon you of Abou Abdellah, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.” This is as if you have visited him, and a visit is as if you performed pilgrimage and ‘Omra.” He said: “I do this about 20 times monthly.”
* Reported from Imam Abou Abdellah (pbuh) that he said: Allah ordered 4000 angels to take care of Imam Hussein’s graves. They are ragged and covered with dust. They are still crying over him since dawn till dusk. When the sun sets 4000 angels would descend and 4000 others would ascend and they remain crying over him till dawn and witness for who visits him, escort him to his family and nurse him when he is sick, then pray over his body when he dies.
* Abdollah Ibn Bakir said:"I went to pilgrimage with Imam Al-Sadeq (pbuh) so I asked him:"O son of Rasoulollah, if we looked into the grave of Al-Hussein (pbuh) do we see something!!"Imam Al-Sadeq (pbuh) said:”O Ibn Bakir, what a great question! verily, Al-Hussein(pbuh), his father, mother and brother are with the Prophet (PBUHP) at his rank, Alive graced and blessed, and he (Al-Hussein(pbuh)) is on the right of the throne holding it, saying:”O God, fulfill what did you promised me.” He (pbuh) look to his visitors, and he (pbuh) knows them, their names, their fathers names, and what they carry with them more than that one of them know his child. He is looking to he who weeps over him and he ask forgiveness for him, ask his father (pbuh) to forgive for him(his visitor), and he (pbuh) said:” O he who weep over me, if you know what Allah made for you, you will be happy more than your sadness, and he (pbuh) ask forgiveness for him from every sin and guilt.”
