Ibn Babawaih states in Oyun Akhbar Al-Rida (Pbuh) Book: Mohammad bin Sannan reported from Imam Rida (Pbuh) that he said: " 'In the name of Allah' is closer to
the Grandest Name of Allah than the blackness of the eye to the whiteness."
Ibn Babawaih states in Al-Tawheed Book: Faddal reported that he asked Imam Rida (Pbuh) about 'In the name of Allah'. The Imam (Pbuh) said: "When one says "In the name of Allah"
it means: "I mark myself to one of the marks of Allah." This is servitude."
Ibn Babawaih states in Al-Tawheed Book: Safwan bin Yahya reported that Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) was asked about "In the name of Allah the Most Gracious The Most Merciful." He (Pbuh) said: "Letter (Baa') is the glory of Allah. Letter (Seen) is the Splendor of Allah. Letter (Meem) is the dominion of Allah." He asked: "Allah?" He (Pbuh) said: "Letter (Alif) is the bounties of Allah upon his creatures by loyalty to us. Letter (Lam) is the obligation of Allah over his creatures to be loyal to us. Letter (Haa) is the humility of who opposed Mohammad and AL Mohammad (Pbut). He is Most Gracious to all people. He is Most Merciful especially to believers."
Al-Tabarasi states in Majma' Al-Bayan Book: The Imam (Pbuh) said: "When the teacher tells the boy to say: "In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful" then the boy says " In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful" Allah writes a clearance for the boy, his parents and the teacher from hell."
Al-Shaheed Al-Thany states in Muniat Al-Mureed Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "For he who writes " In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful" in a good ornamented handwriting Allah shall forgive him."
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: Ibn Masoud reported that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "He who wanted to be saved from the nineteen angels of torment of hell has to recite " In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful". It contains nineteen letters and thus every letter is a shield for every angel of torment."
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: Abdellah bin Masoud reported that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "For he who recites ' In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful' Allah will write in his account four thousand righteous deeds for every letter, delete four thousand sins and raise him four thousand ranks."
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: " For he who recites ' In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful' Allah shall build him seventy thousand castles of red ruby in heaven. In every castle there are one thousand houses made of white pearls. In each house there are seventy thousand beds made of green aquamarine. On every bed there are seventy thousand mattresses. On each mattress there is an angelic-maid who has seventy thousand forelocks. 'Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah' is written on her right cheek. 'Ali is the custodian of Allah' is written on her left cheek. 'Al-Hassan' is written on her forehead. 'Al-Hussein' is written on her chin. ' In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful' is written on her lips." He said: "Who earns this honor O Messenger of Allah?" He (Pbuhp) said: "To he who glorifies Allah by reciting 'In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful.'"
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "When a servant recites ' In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful' before sleep Allah says: "O my angels, write in his account a righteous deed for every breath he takes till the morning.""
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: "When the believer passes on Al-Sirat and says " In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful" the fire of hell is put off. Then hell says to him: "Pass O believer. Your light had put of my flames."
Jami' Al-Akhbar Book: The Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) was asked: "Does Satan eat with people?" He (Pbuhp) said: "Indeed, on a table where Allah's name wasn’t recited Satan eats with them and Allah annuls the blessings."
