* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Himran that he asked Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) about Allah’s saying { On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people} how it would be as if he slew the whole people where as he only slew one?” Imam (Pbuh) said: “He will be placed in level in hell where one is tormented as if he slew the whole people.” He said: “If he killed another one?” Imam (Pbuh) said: “His torment is doubled.” [1]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Man La Yahdurohu Al-Faqeeh Book: Reported from Abou Hamza Al-Thamaly from Imam Ali Bin Al-Hussein (Pbuh) that he said that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: “every killer has his own killed assigned by Allah and who doesn’t die.” They asked him: “O Messenger of Allah, who is the killer that doesn’t die?” He (Pbuhp) said: “Fire.” [2]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Hisham bin Salim from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that he said: “A believer still has a chance in faith as long as he doesn’t get involved in forbidden blood.” Also He (Pbuh) said: “He is not allowed to repent he who kills a believer deliberately.” [3]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Abou Hamza that once a man came to the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) and said to him: “ O Messenger of Allah, there is a killed man in Juheina.” So the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) walked to their mosque. People heard the news so they came to him. He (Pbuhp) said: “Who killed him?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, we don’t know.” He (Pbuhp) said: “There is a killed man between Muslims and no one knows who killed him. I swear to the one who sent me with truth, if the entire inhabitants of the sky and land participated in shedding blood of a Muslim and accepted that, Allah would throw all of them on their faces in Hell.” [4]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Man La Yahdurohu Al-Faqeeh Book: Reported from Saeed Al-Azraq from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that he said: “When a man kills a believer, he either dies Hebrew or Christian or barbarian.” [5]
* Al-Hor Al-Amili states in Wasa’el Al-Shia Book: Reported from Mohammad bin Muslim from Imam Abou Abdellah (Pbuh) that he said: “A man comes on resurrection day carrying a bottle of blood. He says: “I swear to Allah I didn’t kill or participate in shedding blood.” Then he is told: “Yes, you mentioned a servant of mine in a certain speech and after a chain of consequences he was killed. So you are responsible for his blood.” [6]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Kulaini states in Al-Kafi Book: Reported from Al-Washa’ that he heard Imam Rida (Pbuh) say that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuhp) said: “Allah’s damnation is upon he who kills other than his killer or striker other than the one who stroke him. Allah’s damnation is upon who kills or who refuges a killer.” [7]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Toussi states in Tah’theeb Al-Ahkam Book: Reported from Al-Fadeel bin Yasar that he asked Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh) about ten men who killed one. He (Pbuh) said: “His caretakers can kill all of them and then pay nine penances. If they want, they can choose a man to kill and the rest nine pay one tenth of the penance each. Then the ruler punished them and disciplines them.” [8]
* Al-Sheikh Al-Sadouq states in Oyun Akhbar Al-Rida Book: Reported from Al-Fadel bin Shathan from Imam Ali Bin Moussa Al-Rida (Pbuh) that he said to Al-Ma’moun: “He who is killed defending his money is a martyr. It is forbidden to kill an infidel or a Nasibi when there is Taqiya except if he was a killer or a corrupter and if there was no fear one’s self and his companions.” [9]
* Al-Hor Al-Amili states in Wasa’el Al-Shia Book: Reported from Ali bin Hassan from Imam Abou Jaa’far (Pbuh) that he said: “he who fights (Allah) steals money and kills must be killed or crucified. He who fights and kills and yet doesn’t steal money must be killed and not crucified. He who fights, steals and doesn’t kill must not be killed. Yet his hand and leg must be amputated but inversely. He who fights but doesn’t steal or kill must be exiled. Yet Allah made an exception {Except those who repent before you gain power over them} meaning who repent before being caught in the hands of the Imam.” [10]

Shall I tell you about a greater kill. A kill that Allah imposes a greater punishment for it? They said: “Yes, O son of the Messenger of Allah.” He (Pbuh) said: “Greater than this kill is the kill that can’t be rectified and the killed can never live after it.” They said: “What is it?” He (Pbuh): “ It is to lead one astray from the prophecy of Mohammad and Wilaya of Ali Bin Abi Talib (Pbut), to make him walk other than the way of Allah, to drive him towards the way of the enemies of Ali (Pbuh), to admit their Imamate and not to admit the rights of Ali, to deny his virtues, to not impose on him the duty of praising Ali. This is the kill that leads the killed to abide eternally in the fire of hell. The punishment of this kill is the same. Abiding eternally in the fire of Hell.” [12]
